Mental Edge: Do more then is required

Get a mental edge by going above and beyond

It is not always easy to know what you can do to stand apart from the crowd. In sports as any thing in life, success requires someone to stand apart. Many times people are doing only what is required of them and they wonder why they are not getting the position they want, aren’t starting the game or getting the scholarship they want. You can’t just do what people are asking of you. The saying "you have to do what no one else will to have what no else can" is true. You have to be willing to do the things that many people don’t want to do to get the success not everyone can achieve. So I want you to think about what you are expected to do and then first think if you are doing that, and then what else you might need to do to succeed.

Get a mental edge with sports mental training programs in San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange County. Mindset training is key to reaching high performance. All practitioners are trained in sport psychology

My line of work definitely falls for many people within the scope of doing more. Hopefully at some point it falls within what is expected but it is still a little unknown and something people don’t really think of spending time on. So here are some things that if you are thinking it is time you need to do more you can start doing.

  1. Meditate: not everyone has the discipline or the will to do this and keep it up. If you can begin to meditate and continue to meditate you will start to set yourself apart with your calm demeanor and ability to handle stressful situations.

  2. Imagery: Be consistent with doing imagery can really help you stand apart. It is a great time to see where you want to end up and to feel like you have already accomplished it. Those who incorporate imagery regularly are the ones who do see more success.

  3. Develop yourself: You go into every situation and if you want to succeed you first must develop who you are to a point where you can be successful in anything you try. Those who have ever really gotten any where will tell you the best thing they did was find ways to develop as a human being. Read books, watch insightful videos, figure out what is holding you back or how you are sabotaging yourself. It takes a lot of work but is well worth it.

To your success,

Kate
