Get a little help from your friends for peak performance

Peak performance requires help from others

This month I am looking at the theme of surrounding yourself with an amazing team to help you achieve peak performance. This week I wanted to talk about the fact that not everyone can have the same strengths and be great at everything. Too often we look at those around us and wish we had the same talents as they do, and often it distracts us and creates a lot of frustration. Just because someone is better at you in something doesn’t mean you have to be just as good as them in order to achieve success. We all have strengths and we all have our limitations, but too often we want everything to be a strength, if that was the case nothing would be a strength because everything would be just okay. So since we can’t be good at everything, it is a smart idea to know what you are good at and then find people who have strengths that are opposite of yours.

When we surround ourselves with people who can help us, we have a better chance of getting where we want to go. We can’t do it alone and hope we have everything we need to succeed. It is best to work smarter not harder. So figure out what your strengths are and who can be part of your team to make you even better.
